How to Install Casters & Remove Them (Video)
Casters are important for carts and trucks in a warehouse to keep things mobile and to make it easy for workers to easily pull the equipment and supplies they need.
When ordering from Warehouse1, our products are mostly pre-assembled, but you'll need to assemble certain things yourself. So step up, grab your tools, and watch our video to see how to install and remove our Warehouse1 casters.
What you need:
The tools you will need are:
- A ratchet
- An extension
- A socket - The socket size will depend on the bolt size you're using for your casters.
Steps to Installing Casters:
1. Place the casters
Place the casters on the cart or truck, and line up the holes.
2. Hand tighten bolts
Insert the bolts in the bolt holes and hand tighten them.
3. Use your ratchet
Put your socket on your extension and put your extension on your ratchet. Then tighten the bolts - don't make it overly tight.
Removing Casters
To remove your casters, simply switch your socket wrench to loosen the bolts. Loosen each bolt until they come out of the bolt holes. Remove the caster. Repeat this step for each caster.
